25 November Battle of the Plans Winner Announcement 10.00 - 11.30 pm MoAV Coffee 2501 Montana Ave The   selection   committee   has   narrowed   the   applicants   to   5   presentations   to be demonstrated in the final round. The finalists include: Something Chic- New Business category Yellowstone Biking- New Business category This House of Books- Expansion Mason & Dixon- New Business category Crepe Cuisine- New Business category The   final   round   will   be   held   at   9am,   on   Friday   November   17th   at Art   House Cinema   and   Pub.   Each   contestant   will   have   10   minutes   to   present   their business   concept   and   plan,   followed   by   a   question   and   answer   period   from the selection committee. Winners   will   be   announced   on   Small   Business   Saturday   at   10am   at   MoAv   Coffee   Shop,   2501   Montana   Avenue.   Prize   packages include   rental   assistance,   advertising   package,   mentoring   and   membership   in   the   Downtown   Billings   Alliance,   Big   Sky   Economic Development and the Billings Chamber of Commerce. Panel Discussion: Outdoors 5.30-7.00 pm This House of Books 224 N. Broadway On   #shopsmall   Saturday,   November   25   starting   at   5:30,   This   House   of   Books   will   host   an   exciting   discussion   with   outstanding,   award- winning   wildlife   photographers   Jack   Ballard   and   Dave   M.   Shumway.   The   moderator   for   this   event   will   be   none   other   than   Lisa Densmore   Ballard,   an   award-winning   photographer   in   her   own   right.   Lisa   is   also   vice   president   of   the   Outdoor   Writers   Association   of America. Taking   an   outdoor   focus,   the   panelists   will   throw   light   on   their   passion   for   sharing   the   natural   world   through   their   camera   work   and   will reveal proven techniques for capturing stunning digital photographs. Jack’s new book, Wildlife Photography: Proven Techniques, will be for sale. You can pick up autographed copies as gifts. Hosted by DJGQ $10 cover at the door, casual attire but 80's dress would be totally radical! This is a 21 & over event. 26 November November USPSA Fun Match 9.00 am - 3.00 pm Billings Rod & Gun Club 2931 Rod and Gun Club Rd This   is   a   great   match   for   new   competitors,   and   will   still   be   challenging   for   the   experienced   folks.   Been   wanting   to   try   competitive shooting,   this   is   a   great   match   to   start   with.   Entry   fee   is   $10   or   an   unwrapped   toy,   all   will   be   donated   to   Toys   for   Tots!   For   any questions, contact: Tami@magiccityactionshooters.org Soothing Santa 10.00 - 11.00 am Rimrock Mall 300 S 24th St W Santa   knows   some   children   need   extra   patience   and quiet    time    during    holiday    visits.    This    ​soothing​    ​and sensory-friendly      event      allows      ​​children​      ​with​      ​all spectrums    of    special​    ​needs​    ​and    their    families    to experience    a    time-honored    tradition    with    Santa    in    a comforting    environment    outside    the    center’s    public hours. Soothing    Santa    is    held    in    partnership    with    Autism Speaks,     the     world’s     leading     autism     science     and advocacy   organization   dedicated   to   funding   research into    the    cause,    prevention,    treatment    and    cure    for autism, increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders, and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families. Visits   with   Santa   are   free.   Space   is   limited   and   families   must   register   in   advance.   Santa   photo   packages   will   be   available   for   purchase at the event.
