Last   Saturday   in   "This   house   of   books" there    was    an    amazing    meeting    with Floyd    Clown,    Doug    War    Eagle    and William Matson The    history    of    their    family    is    a    great story.    It    had    a    glorious    past    and    a struggle    to    survive    under    the    yoke    of hard   federal   laws,   there   was   an   aversion to   its   roots   and   an   attempt   to   preserve its     traditions.     In     the     darkest     times, Grandmother   of      Floyd   Clown   and   Doug War    Eagle    predicted    that    help    would come   from   all   four   corners   of   the   world and that was it. William   Matson   appeared   and   helped   do a     great     job     of     finding     documents, reconstructing     the     history,     facts     and legends    about    Crazy    Horse    and    his family. William   has   long   been   interested   in   this topic.   For   him   acquaintance   with   Floyd   Clown   and   Doug   War   Eagle   became   fateful.   He   sought   this   opportunity   for   many   years.   But getting   closer   with   the   Lakota   was   not   so   easy.Because   before   you   start   to   work   with   them,   they   had   to   make   sure   he   has   a   good heart.   Today,   we   face   a   great   book,   which   are   actively   interested   not   only   in   the   US   but   also   in   Europe.   How   do   we   see   the cooperation took place. And most importantly, it grew into a real friendship. "In   many   ways,   the   Clown   family's   oral   history   differs   from   what   has   become   the   standard   and   widely   accepted   biography   of   Crazy Horse.   The   family   clarifies   the   inaccuracies   and   shares   their   story   about   the   past,   including   what   it   means   to   them   to   be   Lakota,   the family   genealogy,   the   life   of   Crazy   Horse   and   his   motivations,   his   death   and   why   they   chose   to   keep   quiet   with   their   knowledge   for   so long   before   finally   deciding   to   tell   the   truth   as   they   know   it",   -   said   in   some   reviews.   In   other   reviews   emphasized:   "This   is   a   powerful and   deeply   personal   account   of   the   life   of   one   o   the   greatest   Native   American   warriors   of   the   nineteenth   century.   It   is   a   story   of Native American   history,   told   by   Native Americans,   that   provides   a   unique   perspective   on   a   rich   culture,   on   a   way   of   life,   and   on   an iconic legend". In   any   case,   read   this   book   is   a   pleasure.   But   no   less   pleasure   to   communicate   with   its   authors. They   are   open   and   friendly,   and   they are also excellent storytellers. Many thanks to "This house of books" for organizing this inspirational meeting. Follow   the   updates   of   "This   house   of   books"   on   their   website   and   facebook   page. And   also   soon   the   readers   of   JBN   will   be   able   to read an exclusive interview with Floyd Clown and Doug War Eagle&William Matson
